The City of Tampere has placed a significant follow-up order with Supersight for visitor counting solutions for Hervake, the renovated leisure center in Hervanta.
This additional order supports the opening of Hervake as Tampere’s first sports-oriented youth center and strengthens the city’s ability to monitor facility usage in a diverse and vibrant environment where sportsand youth services work closely together. Hervake and the adjacent Hehku youth center form a cohesive whole in young people’s daily lives, where physical activity, guided programs, and leisure time intertwine seamlessly.
Supersight’s visitor counting system provides a real-time view of entrance usage, visitor numbers in different spaces, and regional space utilization. The solution helps the city:
understand how young people and other user groups utilize various sports and recreational facilities
optimize opening hours and the scheduling of guided activities
support safe and smooth management of visitor flows
make data-driven decisions regarding service development
Hervake offers a wide range of facilities—including a ball sports hall with spectator seating, dance, tatami, wrestling, and boxing facilities, as well as a gym and a multi-purpose hall set to open later —and is specifically designed to encourage low-threshold physical activity and social interaction. Visitor data supports this goal by providing the city with concrete information on which facilities and activities best meet users’ needs.
